The pump used in our systems is the new Grundfos SQ flex pump series
featuring high efficiency and total power adaptability. From one of the most
experienced, highest - quality Danish engineering pump manufacturers in the
world, the submersible SQ Flex series features a single motor that can be
fitted with seven different pump heads, depending on your pumping
requirements.
The motor happily accepts any DC voltage from 30 to 300 volts or any AC
voltage from 90 to 260 volts, 50 or 60 Hz, just flip a switch on the control
box to go from DC to AC or back. This makes the SQFlex pump extremely easy
to back up with a generator or utility power. When running on DC the SQFlex
features electronic Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) to get the best
possible performance from your solar array. A low-water sensor is included
and pre-wired to the pump input cable. Low-water shut-off and restarts are
automatic.
With a maximum of 900 Watts input, the SQFlex motor offers performance
equivalent to a conventional ¾ to 1 HP AC pump. The three larger pump
heads are the new highly efficient helical rotor types. The four higher
volume pump heads are centrifugal types. Maximum head is 120 m.
Typical outputs (with a 900 Wp solar array at 5.5 kWh/m2/day) :
- At 30 m head - 20,000 lpd (liters per day)
- At 50 m head - 14,800 lpd
- At 70 m head - 9,500 lpd
- At 120 m head - 6,100 lpd
